Biography
Dr. Jeffrey Welgoss earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. He completed a fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Methodist Hospital at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Welgoss is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology, and Pelvic Modulation Society. Dr. Welgoss serves as an Assistant Professor at the George Washington University and Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also on faculty at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He is the Medical Director of Urogynecology at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia. He periodically reviews articles for the International Urogynecologic Journal and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Welgoss has authored a number of journal articles and has been a presenter at medical conferences. He has been recognized by his peers and by patients with numerous awards including being named as a Top Doctor by the Guide to America’s Top OB-GYN, Washingtonian Magazine, Best Doctors in America, and Super Doctors.
